Modular educational programs of the University
In the 2011-2012 academic year the university transferred to the development of modular educational programs in all bachelor specialties. The basis for the formation of educational programs in the context of the Bologna Process was as follows: competence approach; modular structure of the construction of educational programs; credit content of disciplines and the calculation of the educational load of students.
To implement these principles of structuring the educational programs, the staff of the registrar's office and the dean's offices carried out a great deal of organizational and methodological work. The Regulations on the Activities of the Curriculum and Curriculum Committees were developed in which the basic principles and mechanisms for the development of educational programs on the basis of republican normative documents are outlined; the algorithm for the formation of educational programs, as well as the principles of methodological filling of modules is described. Systematically training seminars on the development of educational programs were conducted. Meetings of the teaching staff with employers were organized, during which the common, professional and additional competencies of graduates for each specialty were determined, lists of elective disciplines and individual courses relevant for production with the aim of including them in CEDs, currulum and syllabuses were discussed,. Under the guidance of the curriculum committees, the methodical content of each module was developed.
According to the Register of Professional Standards as of June 1, 2017, professional standards for 14 specialties of the university have been approved. In this regard, modular educational programs of these specialties on the basis of professional standards are developed.
Thus, to date, 75 modular bachelor educational programs including 8 programs for multilingual education have been developed. All of them in the period from December 21 to 26, 2016 successfully passed the State Attestation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The following Modular educational programs are most in demand: "Architecture of residential and public buildings" (specialty 5В042000 - Architecture); "Veterinary and sanitary expertize of livestock products" (specialty 5В120200 - Veterinary Sanitation); "Banking", "Taxes and taxation" (special 5В050600 - Finance).
Within the framework of the State program of industrial and innovative development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following MEPs were developed: "Technology of storage and processing of oilseeds" (specialty 5В072800 - Technology of processing productions); "Machines and devices of processing productions" (specialty 5В072400 - Technological machines and equipment). For the implementation of the SPIID, it is planned to create new programs for specialties “Technological machines and equipment”, “Agronomy”, “Soil Science and Agrochemistry”, etc.
The modular educational program "Energy management and energy audit" (specialty 5В081200 - Energy supply of agriculture) was developed within the framework of the international TEMPUS project "Development of the bachelor curriculum "Energy Management" on the basis of mixed (blended-online) Blended-Learning in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan higher schools", MEP" Energy saving and renewable energy sources "- in connection with the adoption of the state program "Energy Saving – 2020” by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
